Share Your WiFi with a QR Code
Stop spelling out your WiFi password. With a QR on the wall, any customer or guest connects instantly. No typing, no errors, no interruptions asking for the password.
No password typing
The QR encodes your WiFi network in a standard format phones recognize. Scan and connect automatically.
Perfect for cafés and hotels
Cafés, restaurants, hotels, hair salons, doctor's offices — anywhere with guest WiFi benefits from a visible QR.
Works at home too
No more spelling out passwords to visitors. A QR on the fridge or framed in the living room solves it.
Your password stays on your device
The QR is generated entirely in your browser. Your WiFi password is never sent to any server.
How to generate a WiFi QR code
The standard format is: WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; (with double semicolon at the end). Replace NetworkName and Password with yours and paste it into the generator. Most modern phones recognize it automatically.
Which security type should I use?
Use WPA for WPA2 or WPA3 networks (most common today). For open networks: WIFI:T:nopass;S:NetworkName;; For legacy WEP (not recommended): T:WEP.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. iOS 11+ and Android 10+ recognize WiFi QR codes directly with the camera app, with no additional apps needed.
Is it safe to put the password in a QR?
The QR encodes the password in plain text, just like writing it on paper. Only place it where you trust who has visual access.
Works with guest networks?
Yes. Many businesses create a separate guest network and QR only that one.
What if I change the password?
You'll need to regenerate the QR. That's why stable guest network passwords are recommended for businesses.
